Hi, I drive a 1994 Dodge Caravan SE and I need a new transmission. First of all, peope keep telling me about a rebuilt transmission. Can I get a NEW transmission? If so, how much would it cost me? Anyhow, were can I go to get good service and a pritty good price? I live in Staten Island New York. Do you know any good name place were they would do a good job? How much does it usualy cost in a good place? How long would the warantee be? I thank you for your time and any information would be appreciated. I will be taking my car in this week and I will leave a best answer once the car is complete based on the information you have giving me. Thanks again :-)

Even a rebuilt is going to cost you half as much as that vehicle is worth. You'll pour in $2000 for a rebuilt or more for a new one and still have an old worn out minivan. Stuff is going to keep going out.
