Termites have to have moisture and return to that source within 24 hours, if, I remember correct. Usually this in the ground. If, your house have a crawl space it under the house. You can look with a flashlight and see the mud/dirt tunnels they build from the ground to your wood. They sell a spray that will kill them at most Hardware and Farm Supply Stores. It expensive to some degree but cheaper than a Termite Company. Not sure you can do this, it up to you. Spray around where the tunnels are real good and take a stick and smash up the tunnels. You may be able to try those Granules for the ticks in the yard but they need to get wet to work, which may be enough moisture to do this and it be easier than a spray. just throw them heavy around the tunnel areas and smash up the tunnels. Remember they have to get back to moisture to survive. Last thing is use a few fans to try and dry out the area with a good flow of air, but, this may not work. If, the area they eating is wet, you need to determine how it getting wet and stop it so they not have moisture at the wood and have to go back to the ground.

Get an exterminator. Why would you trust yor $100,000 investment (or however much it cost) to a $20 bottle of commercial termite killer. Commercial termite killers are meant for use on stumps, landscaping timbers, etc. Exterminators can use restricted chemicals which last longer and are more effective and most have a warranty on their work for several years.
