no way!! ram gopal verma is just wasting his time and money to even think about it! well its his choice but if he's going to make that movie no way its going to work!! not that he's a bad director but just not 'sholay' type, if you know what i mean :p with some other director...um... maybe! i mean don worked, didn't it. we just need a director with a right vision.
as for the roles
jai.. abhishek ( seen him in sarkar?? he'll be perfect!)
veeru...shahrukh ( n i'm not saying just b'coz he's popular.just imagine him doing the suicide scene.he'll be perfect!! pity ram gopal verma is intimidated by his popularity)
gabar... have to agree! amitabh, hands down!!

Remake is a stupidity. It is worse than remixes. You will keep trying to compare with originals in the darkness of the cinema hall.
If one wtaches the orihinal sholay, one can not stop appreciating the story, cinematography, direction, etc. There were no computers to manipulate. And yet they produced a movie which you can watch at least once a year.

No, it will be a big flop.
SHUSHMITA SEN is potraying the role "devi"which was done by Jaya Bachan.
NISHA KOTHARI is potraying the role of "basanti" which was done by Hema Malini.
I think
Jai........ should be Abhishek Bacchan.
Veeru............should be Mohit Alahawat (coz NISHA is playing Basanti. They r the perfect pair) if not Mohit, perhaps Uday Chopra.
Gabbar..........none other than Amitabh.

whoever they chose,i don't think remakes in india are good enough,we should make original ones,an example is the new DON,it isin't a big hit
