I doubt it very much.

The Republicans blew the elections already by their policies on pandering to the rich.

Wow! Alot have people have already decided how the election will turn out!
Kerry's remarks - once again - will hurt, and they should.
This is a sarcastic man who slips up enough to show his true colors - and make it clear he should be nowhere near the White House.
He is a leader in the Democratic Party, and along with Howard Dean who has the same knack for inproper thinking and speech, puts fear and head -shaking into the minds of Americans who think with their feet on the ground.
Did you know that Kerry apologized on his blog for his "verbal slip", but would not say it publicly? Same weenie he has always been. What do you think our soldiers think of our almost Commander-in Chief?

The problem with your question is the word "joke". I think it's fairly evident that it was no joke. He has disdain for the military, has for years. He just got spanked and doesn't like it so he's using the spin machine to make excuses for his idiocy. It really shouldn't affect the elections. People should vote for specific candidates not political parties. If they do republicans should win regardless of Kerry's mouth.

Kerry's gaffe won't help, but it's unlikely to have a huge effect IMO. What suprises me is that the GOP may actually win Foley's former seat!

It shouldn't, John Kerry is a joke and they tolerate him. They are a little mad at him right now though.
He often suffers from Hoof in Mouth Desease.

I don't think it was a joke but a degrading statement about the brave men and women who are protecting our freedom. I think it will have some affect on the election...however it shouldn't. Whoever is the best candidate for the job should win...not which party they belong.

John kerry did not make a joke. The only joke is that democrats are trying to convince themselves it was a joke, to save face.

Only those democrats that are in the military might change the way they usually vote. Lots of them are real unhappy with him. I'm sure most democrats won't be changing their votes, they are too busy justifying what he said to believe it.

No - the Bush administration has screw the pooch to such a degree that almost nothing can stop a Democratic party sweep.

Probably not, thankfully. People are mostly set on who they're voting for already.

The real overlaping issue here is if you hate Bush or not.
