As a paralyzed Vietnam Vet I didn't appreciate what he did when he called us Baby Killers and cowards. He was a traitor then and is one now. In fact he sounds more and more like his wife everyday!

I certainly think his tin medals and conjured up war record are as disgusting as his remark about our young men and women in Iraq.

He did us a great service, he really energized the Conservative and Moderate Base to get out and vote, not so much for the incumbents or current policy but to vote AGAINST the Liberals.

Whats wrong with him? Maybe his wife? Can anyone imagine living with her day in and day out?

He's hopelessly stuck in his 1960s, John Kennedy/Vietnam world view. Hates the military when most of the nation appreciates them. He can't understand how a suave, french-speaking, nuanced genius like him could run against an imbecile in 2004 and the voters would look at them both and opt for the "imbecile".

I thinkk it was a reference to the Vietnam War draft practices. Really, it was messed up:

If you were in college and a student, you werenot drafted. Back then not alot of people went to college besides the middle class and upper class. Also if you have a degree, you get a higher ranking and you may not be put out into the line of fire.

If you didn't go to college, you were more likely to get drafted. What this practice was saying was that the less fortunate are disposable.

So Kerry's comments were probalby a jab at the Vietnam draft- since that is how it was when he was in the war.

My boyfriend told me that's why System of of Down asked "Why do they always send the poor" in that anti-war song. I forget what it's called.

Yes, Kerry should apologize for a bad joke poorly told and stick to the milky speeches his writers put in front of him.

What's wrong with Kerry? He's a courtier, he follows the rules to get more power, but he never LEADS by taking a daring and correct stance -- for example-- he knew about torture in the detainee camps in 2004 but his advisors told him it would make him look mean and unpatriotic.

So he did nothing. The people authorizing the torture stayed in charge.

As a courtier, Kerry thinks he deserves another chance in 2008. But no one else thinks that! He's absurd, jockeying for another chance to fall off a cliff.

Well, I have several things to say about the Kerry comments. First off, I'm not going to pretend I think it was a stab at Bush. It was clearly aimed at the students to which he was talking. However, I know several low-income, uneducated people who are taking refuge in the army. He could have been referring to a coming draft, in which case those still in school would be exempt. I'm not really sure what he meant, but I'm with you that it wasn't PC. On the other hand, I think it's been blown out of proportion. I think the very fact that Bush took the time out of his day to insult Kerry exemplifies its use for support for the Republican party. I'd rather have someone insult people than kill them. I'd rather have someone be rude than attack a nation based on lies and greed. Then again, that's just me.

What's wrong with John Kerry? Aside from having no idea what life is like for most Americans, he's a Democrat.

No, he has done stuff like this before and continues. What is an apology worth if is not from the heart? But as long as keeps putting his foot in his mouth...I will keep watching and laughing.

He sometimes think all people have the same level of intelligence as himself. It is clear he is not maligning the troops, for there is no political gain in doing so. He just forgot to calibrate his communication mode accordingly. Unless of course, you believe he is a political moron.
