Is there even enough of a fan base anymore that would justify keeping the show open?

I'll be sad when he leaves. My most vivid memories of my great-grandparents was when I would walk over to their house, and The Price is Right was playing.

"Price is Right" is, I believe CBS's highest rated show, and as such, I'm sure they won't have any plans to bury that kind of cash cow, and the show will go on, the next poor schlemiel to host the show is going to pale by comparasion to Barker. Bob Barker and "Price is Right" are one and the same in the American consciousness. It's just like watching "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." As good as Meredith Vieira is on the daytime version (and she is very good), when you think of "Millionaire," you think of Regis Philbin. The same goes for William Shatner/James T. Kirk, and Lenord Nimoy/Spock, as well. There are many others. Any actor could portray Archie Bunker or Detective Kojak, but Carroll O'Connor and Telly Savalas ARE Archie and Kojak. Same goes here--Bob Barker IS "The Price is Right." But I ramble...you get the idea.

EW. I hope that's not true that they are going to continue the show. The show should end with Bob. I don't know how long the Price is Right can go on for.

I'm sure they will try to find someone with the same attitude as bob barker to try to fill his shoes, and if that isn't the case I'm sure they would have the exact opposite type of person

I don't know who could replace him. It won't be the same whoever it is, though.
