I know everyone hates the USA. Its the popular thing to do these days. But look at the real facts. The USA gives out $241 billion in aid each year. The majority of this is from private donors. They also buy wheat and corn from countries when the USA grows more than they can use themselves. They do this to help the economies of countries like Russia. Also, look at the UN. It seems that corrupt orginization would have serious budget problems if it weren't for the generous payments recieved from the USA. What does America get for these payments? Slapped in the face any time someone has a chance to speak. Hate the USA, its no big deal, but if they were gone tomorrow who could stand in their place? Europe as a whole can't replace the USA. European economies are slow and cumbersom, they wouldn't be able to replace the buying power the USA has. European people save to much money, and don't take enough chances. The Chinese economy is fast growing but there are also big problems with it. In China the money is not held by the people, instead the government hold the vast majority. This being said, the governmet then owns the assets, such as factories. See, America buys these goods directly from the government without dealing through the people. In other words its the American buying power again that holds up the Chinese economy. So, what does America bring to the world? They bring the ability to buy what you make, give to those in need, and invent many of the worlds most important inventions.

None.
The U.S. is a Nation more in debt, personally, and financially, than every other country on the planet could collectively imagine, and it is beyond the realms of belief.
$300,000,000,000,000 (300 trillion) in debt.
And yet the arrogance, even belligerance afforded towards every one else is staggering.
$240m dollars a day on an illegal war!
The so-called 'United States' is anything but.
50 States, 50 different 'Laws'
One Senate and one Congress to decide and legislate..
But that doesn't work, so put it to the Supreme Court.
Oh, quelle suprise, that doesn't work either
If the Saudi Arabians called back their $875bn loan, the U.S. would be in free-fall.
What is 'united' about the U.S.?.
There's the 'god-fearing' south, the sycophantic 'government', the 'liberal north' and all the loud mouthed propagandists who can't decide whether a cake should be made with 'self-raising' or 'organic' flour.
It frightens me that the so called 'United States' should assume itself to be the 'self-appointed guardian of the world' when it's own country is anything but 'united'
The US provided weapons for, and funded, the IRA, one of Britains most virile and uncompromising terrorist organisations (and still does, unless the the IRA have really put their weapons down for good, in all senses of the word)
It is crass to poke fun at a nation as a whole, but when the 'leader of the free world' is as inept and 'gun-crazy' as G.W.Bush, there is genuine cause for concern, globally.

a very good question Mary & thought provoking.
At one time (in the case of the cold war with the Eastern bloc)they provided peace & stability such that it was.
They then became the one super power or the world's policeman but they have abused their position. Do they portray uncaring capitalism & greed? Perhaps. Maybe they are intolerant of other beliefs.
However, there is corruption the world over & it is very likely that we would be worse off without them (despite the ludicrous & unnecessary Iraq war)
Yours is a question that requires long debate & discussion.

I think the question should be the other way round - what benefits does the world bring to the United States? as the country is pretty good at raping and pillaging just about the whole planet for the benefit of itself.

Someone said "we're a nation in debt." Maybe that's because we've helped so many other countries and they owe us. The United States may have it's problems, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We have far more freedom and benefits than any other country and we should be thankful to live here. You can buy what you want, eat what you want, go where you want, get an education. Sure we have faults in medical care and alot of other places, but we can't always look at the bad sides all the time.

Democracy? What a joke? 2000 presidential election? Did the guy with the most votes win? They interfered in the Ukraine election to ensure that the side they wanted to win actually won. (Military action was threatened unless the election was re-held.) Destroyed a couple of ugly buildings so that they had an excuse to invade Afghanistan in order to build an oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea. Supported terrorism in the U.K. Can't even cope with a minor flood (Atlanta) and again forced us to provide "humanitarian aid".
In short the United States brings no benefits to the world.

You have to read history books because in the present it's kinda hard to find an answer.
Now seriously our inventive is all over the world just look at your screen. We have tried to bring the world closer together with TV, planes, Internet, telephones and many others inventions. We are also very inventive with weapons and sometimes we use them right.

Well, think about it: Suddenly the United States just evaporates. The economic trade implodes. Chaos.
There will always be chaos, with or without the U.S.
Benefits come through trade, finance, humanitarian efforts, etc etc.
And those who say nothing comes from America are blind.

Um, let's see -
financial aid... for the tsunami, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc
medical aid... (ie separation of conjoined twins)
freedom, liberty, democracy (**** no matter what befalls us - we will never give these up****)... they are the backbone of the US and we hold them very very dear. It may seem like we can never agree on anything or that everyone hates the government - so what!!.... It's what makes this country so great. The leaders will change, but the entire core idea of the country (freedom, liberty and democracy) will never change.
We also provide:
education... (ie we teach people how to fly planes)
open borders... that can be used to infiltrate the country
