I've found that most people have a hard time accepting criticism, no matter how constructive or diplomatic it is presented.

OPEN TO CRITICISM?
Yeah right, people like to think they're open but in reality, the minute the truth slips off your toungue, it's like their true colours come out.
Only a select few people can actually handle criticism. My dad and my husband and my sister and my best friend and my mom on the rare occasion.

I would say that most people are not open to criticism although they say they are. No one likes to be criticized altough some look forward to it to correct something they have been doing wrong.

it all depends on who it is and the individuals maturity level. the more mature they are the more open they are to criticism. ( i didnt say age, but maturity level) ignorant people think of it as an offense and not an opportunity to learn from others critique

They dislike it most of the time, but if they think about it and accept that they are not perfect they might grow and appreciate it.
