I have joint legal custody. We've been divorced for almost three years. We are both remarried. She has been physically and mentally abusive to me in the past. She wants more money in child support and is currently taking me through the Friend of the court system in Detroit. I really need a good attorney.

I went thru the same thing; still am. I divorced my ex eight years ago. Whenever I get my son for summer visitation, she always tries to sabotage it. I often wonder why women support crazy & violent women over good fathers.

They are things that can only be discovered after hundreds and hundreds of trials. And of course, strict restriction needs to be in place. However, because the basis of science is always changing due to new discoveries, we need to also have sympathy to the drug company as well. They are not miracle makers, they only try to make profits by selling something that they "think" might help other people. Imagine the world without antibiotics and other medication, how many people would have to die? If we agree that science can be changed, the drug company might not have an excuse of increasing medication prices because of law suit.Also if we look at any other area that has used the socialist system it has bogged down and failed to live up to its Utopian promise. No system is perfect but open and free market is the best out there.

Now that she's taking you back for more support you want your son? Good Grief..... So, your son is not the deciding factor here...money is..
You can't use things in your past relationship in court to try to prove her an unfit mother. A judge doesn't care at this point what your marital problems were...those were resolved with your divorce..or they should have been. He will only remove custody from her if she is proven to be unfit to raise him primarily. If she's ensuring he's being cared for than you have no chance. If she is neglecting his needs educationally, medically, physically, etc.. and it can be PROVEN that she is than you have a case that a judge will listen to and decide on.
That's just what it is..... If this is a money thing than I highly suggest you rethink causing such turmoil in your son's life.

First of all, don't use your child to punish your ex wife. If you do then you don't deserve even joint custody. Just because she has been abusive to you in the past does not mean she is a bad mother. Taking away her parental rights wouldn't just hurt her. It would hurt your son too. Do you love your son? It kind of sounds like you love your wallet more. Get your priorities straight!

if you want your son badly enough and i think you do, then hire those guys on t.v that advertize all the time.. Gefforey or something like that.. and there's that attorney with his family in law too.. maybe someone knows someone .. wait 4 more answers.. bummer eh
