I agree with LuciaLaLa. What is the purpose of pursuing medical school right now? Can it wait a few years? Can you do a PA program first and then decide from there?
I think the deciding factor for you should be how much support you have for your child. Is the dad involved and will he help with child care? Are you near family/parents who will babysit? Who do you trust enough to take care of your little one and instill values into him/her while you're studying/at the hospital/etc.?
There's always wonderful success stories out there--Oprah tends to give those people cars. =) Just really do a lot of soul searching and determine what is best for your son/daughter first. Everything else will fall in place after that.
Oh, and NEVER be afraid to change your mind, even if you've started something.

It's not impossible, but you'll have to decide if that's how you wish to prioritize your life. Medical school is years of very hard work, all-consuming studying followed by an internship during which you are ALWAYS at the hospital and are dead asleep any time you aren't working. And there go more years. If it's really necessary for you to be a doctor then you should go for it. With support from friends and family it's certainly possible. However, you have to understand that you'll likely be giving up being a parent for this time that you are in school. You'll have to decide whether you'll look back when your child is grown and regret that you took time away from him or her in order to achieve this goal for yourself.

Not impossible. Just challenging. But we all have our own challenges and obstacles to face. Nothing comes easy, especially medical school!

I have known women who have. Some colleges now have a daycare on campus. They do this for College Students to have on campus jobs to earn a little money.

Almost anything is possible if you have the will to acheive it. To cut back on daycare bills enlist various relatives to watch the little one (depending on age).
