I don't know at the moment. I would have to think about that for awhile. Right now the only Enlightening Movie I can think of is Dr. Zhiavago.

Schindler's List, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Family Man, Miracle on 34th Street (weird, I know, but I like the concept of making the choice to believe in something that's not "real"), Mean Girls (the acting/storyline was so-so, but I love what was said about girls and the way we interact with each other), It's a Wonderful Life (so many tiny ways to make the world better without even realizing it)

Hmm...depends on what you like: hope, love everlasting, kindness from strangers...With that being said, for ME i'm all about love/hope. Movies like Amelie and Big Fish. That someone, somewhere, loves me. That they are either made-for-me kinda love, or that no-matter-what-I-do love. Even though I'm not religous, the only thing that fits that in real life is God. In movies, in a weird way, Sid and Nancy is an awesome movie for love/hope. Never seen it? See it. Have seen it? You don't have to understand the love/hope that I see. Good Luck finding your personal enlightening movie.

A few classics come to mind:
"It's a Wonderful Life", "Being There", "Miracle on 34th Street" (the original), "The Gods Must Be Crazy", "The Greatest Story Ever Told", "Marty", "Of Mice and Men". just to name a few.
