Sure. But it won't be much fun without a partner. If you are that depressed, get a piece of paper and a pen and write down 100 things you have to be thankful for. Go out and do something good for somebody else. Stop watching the news and switch to the comedy network. Look in the mirror and make funny faces. After you have done all that, make friends with someone who is severly handicapped. Stop complaining.

No ma'm, you need to go out there and find at least one way to make a difference everyday. There are folks who are looking for any sign of hope and as long as we have a means to make someone smile we owe it to OURSELVES to make the effort. Why throw in the towel? No, we must not! Get up and go make a difference. Someone, somewhere needs a smile or a friendly hello or a kind gesture from each of us. I walked into a travel lounge at the Anchorage airport yesterday and noticed one of the hostesses hugging a client whom she obviously knew. As I walked by them I heard the man say with tears in his eyes, "Thank you, at least she didn't linger and suffer". His wife had just died. I thought what a difference that one hug must have made for him.
My point is you never know who may benefit from your compassion or humor or wisdom. And you never know where you may come across them.
So yes, get out of bed. Get up, do your hair and throw on a pair of clean jeans. Go to the library or the grocery store or the park or the coffee shop and be prepared to let someone know you care. You do care! I know it and you know it. We need to let "them" know it! C'mon, let's get this done!

The point is different for everyone. For some it's to be a great parent, for some it's to make money; for some it's to get the most enjoyment out of life, for others it's to make the world a better place.
If you fall under any of those categories, do not sleep in.

YOU can either stay in bed tommorow, or not stay in bed. Either way, you will have to leave the bed to urinate, so YOu will leave the bed eventually.

No, seriously. I never get out of bed until I can think of at least four good reasons. Never.
