The reason you would take birth control would be to stop cramps and to avoid pregnancy. When you get pregnant, you will have cramps. If the doctor knew that she was pregnant and taking them, he wouldn't be to happy. There could be preme problems. She needs to stop.

Obviously your girlfriend wasn't paying attention when the doctor told her the pill is NOT 100% effective. She also obviously didn't read the literature that comes with EVERY single packet of pills. Now that she knows she is pregnant she needs to stop the pill. Only her doctor would know if there would be any side effects, if she thinks that staying on the pill will cause her to no longer be pregnant she is dead WRONG. There is only one way for her to end her pregnancy before term.

SHE NEEDS TO GET OFF THE PILL IMMEDIATLY! It can cause complications during the birth, or with the baby! she should of stopped taking them AS SOON as she found out she was pregnant!

tons of people have this happen to them and they go on to have completly normal and healthy babies. Im sure she stopped taking them as soon as she found out she was pregnant and thats really all you can do, the dr is going to tell you the same thing. Its very important to get good prenantal care and make sure she started taking prenantal vitamins this goes for anyone. So best of luck and dont worry :) oh yea.... CONGRATS

If she stops taking them right away then it shouldn't have an effect, but ask your Dr. to be on the safe side.

this one lady in my neighborhood kept taking birthcontrol pills when she was pregnant before she actually found out, and her baby was a premie, and now, growing up, her daughter has trouble gowing. she's so tiny at like age 14, she looks like she's 7!

The birth control pill can have major side effects. Please tell your friend to contact her OB/GYN TODAY. They will know the best course of action.
