Well 1-2 beers a day are not gonna hurt you. It only hurts you when it becomes a problem in your life like home, job, maybe your kids and basically making rational decisions. Then it's a problem. No, alcohol is not good for you. I used to drink to make myself numb to everything. It's normal to me, not others. Now I realize it's not right. It's okay to drink every now and then but don't let it take control of your life and situations...L

I can't say that 1-2 beers a day is necessarily good for you. Some studies have indicated that people who drink one glass of red wine per day have a lower risk of heart disease.

Some say it's good for your heart. I'm sure red wine is, but not so sure if they decided beer was as well. None of it is good for me because I have an allergy and will be wasted after half a glass of wine.

There is some evidence that alcohol, in moderation, may have beneficial effects. Red wine contains anti-oxidants, which are believed to be useful. Obviously, people with an alcoholism gene cannot use it.
