You can't. It's an integral part of Windows XP.

No! Do not get rid of Windows Explorer!
It's an important file in ur computer to keep it running ok..
But if you see a file in Drive C or Drive D which has the name Explorer
It's a Virus, AVG and McAfee can remove it.
It's a virus only if the file path is C:/ Explorer.exe

why would you want to get rid of it? i guess you should format your hd and put any os other than windows

Instal Linux or Fedora. Or get a fruity colored translusent MAC.

That is your diagram of your hard drive, all your data and all your programs and all of XP. You don't want to get rid of it. You can, but you don't want to.
