if you pretend nothing is wrong then youre not being a friend. Talk to them. Tell a parent or teacher if you have to. Its not something you will be able to deal with alone.

Definitely talk to them and ask them what is making them feel the need to do that.
If you feel unable to bring that up with them, then you're not really a friend, more an acquaintance.

people cut themselves because they are guilty or alone. your friend is doing it to get attention so what do you think? sit them down and find out why they do it and what they are thinking. and help them get over it. but if you feel its too big for the both of you to overcome, ask them to seek help. just dont ignore it or things will get worse.

Confront them right away and tell them to stop before it goes too far. and if she doesnt stop tell an adult. I say this because i had a friend that i ignored that and she ended up in the hospital.
