My schedule. I will occassionally lie about why I can't answer the phone and spend 1 hour talking to my MIL.

I lie to my husband about the dogs being on the bed all day. He doesn't like them on the bed all the time-but they are my babies and they can do whatever they want when I'm at home.

Sometimes when I meet somebody I'll never meet again I just invent a story to tell them. Especially if I don't want them to know anything about me.
Also its sometimes easier to simplify things than to tell the whole truth.
