I live in Southern California, and the ACLU got the County of Los Angeles to REMOVE the symbol of the holy cross off of the county stamp.

I was peeved about it. Now they have replaced it with some garbage. I was very put off by it though. I respect the fact that there are other religions, and that is fine. But Christmas is a representation to Christians, or a rememberance if you will, of the birth of Christ. So.........they outta just leave it be. Everyone can do what they want. Just stop messing with stuff!!!

I'm not a Christian myself, and do not personally agree with the concept of organized religion, but I too find the whole "Holiday Tree" can't use the word Christmas to be an insult to my intelligence. Why should anyone have a problem with a holiday that is about the gift of giving to others. I will continute to use the word Christmas and defy anyone who tries to stop me.

Everything is that way anymore. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing, sometimes it's ridiculous.

I, however, wouldn't go as far as to say it's not something that can be celebrated in public. Gaudy christmas displays are EVERYWHERE. Perhaps you can't be as religious as you'd like to be - but the commercial part of Christmas is alive and well... go to any mall two days before the holiday and you'll see.

I've not run into that where I live. It's become such a secular holiday anyway. By the time Christmas actually gets here, I'm so sick of it because I've had to see it since October. Every year it gets earlier and the marketing of it takes away most of the meaning from it. So, if you want meaning in Christmas, go to your house of worship.

I still call it a CHRISTMAS TREE,and none of you have to like it. It IS ridiculous aboput how everyone is so nervous about saying "Merry Christmas" in public anymore. It's kinda like watching a couple make out on the bus;if you don't like it,don't look. If you don't want to hear it,ignore it and keep going.

Yes I have and I for one am sick and tired of having to change our traditions and cultural rites for those that do not share in our beliefs. This is a free country. People of all walks of life are welcome to come here and celebrate in their own way. They are not made to conform to the established customs of our forefathers and I am sick to death of these people complaining of being offended by our way of celebrating. This country was founded on Christian beliefs and our fathers and grandfathers, our sons and brothers and yes our sisters and daughters and mothers have fought and sacrificed to preserve those freedoms that EVERYONE enjoys. How dare they have the audacity to come into my country and try to take away my customs and my rites and my rights to celebrate as my family has for generations. If you don't like it, don't partake. Close your doors, walk on by, turn the other way, whatever. If it really bothers you, say goodbye and leave us. Merry Christmas and God Bless America!!!!

The ACLU are the ones responsible for this. If you would like to send them a Christmas card to let them know how you feel, here's the address....

ACLU
125 Broad St.
18Th floor
New York NY 10004

Make sure it says MERRY CHRISTMAS in big bold letters!

I do not adjust my belief system to others as they do not adjust theirs to mine. If you bend to the absurdity of PC it will break you.

If you don't stand for what you believe in it will be lost

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
