i understand like eyeliner and lip gloss but they have something for every inch of their face

they just don't know the right technique, do not understand the right application and do not understand the product knowledge
supposedly, makeup should make us looks better, the large pore can be noticeable, the pimples and the wrinkles seems disappear, small eyes and small lips seems larger, chubby face seems thinner, lashes become volumize...and vice versa.
there's so many tricks that we have to know, that will make those pimples, wrinkles,dark circle and scars gone, with a natural result.. like wear nothing at all!
because the best makeup is which can give us the flawless, glowing and natural result.

It's their prefrence.
Just like it is apparently is not yours.
If you can understand YOUR prefrences, you might be able to grasp that everyone's personal prefrence differs. Some people use makup for all sorts of reasons, some people require a whole base to be laid down to blend uneven tones, and some use more around their eyes to smooth the area, reduce lines...etc. All kinds of stuff. Some people do it poorly, but this just sounds like you don't like it altogether, even if they do it right..
Everyone has their reasons, or some people just like it...whatever, it is their business...It's them, and not you, so I don't know why you should make anything of it..
haha if I tried to look/dressed/did my hair and make up for other people...mine would not be that way. I don't wear very much, but that's just MY personal prefrence. haha Girls hate me more than guys do for the way I look...So theory that girls dress fto please everyone is not applicable. Maybe you do, but I sure as hell do nothing but for myself...
It baffles me why some people even care so much about what other people do...

When you are really talking about the people who pile the stuff on, a lot of the incentive is to cover insecurities and match the sociatal ideal of beauty. However, most girls will apply at least chap stick and some eyeshadow. This has to do with the fact that girls dress to impress EVERYONE. Girls are not only dressing for the guys, we are also dressing for the other girls, who are just as observant as we are- and much more observant than the guys! So, make-up is marketed as enhancing beauty, as putting us closer to the ideal of beauty, of impressing everyone.

I agree with u..some look like an icing cake with too much colours on their face (too thick make-up). Just eyeliner and lip gloss like u said is d best n enough...sweet n simple right...those who put too much make up look horrible without it,,u get scared when c them ,,he he he

THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU MEAN BY TOO MUCH MAKEUP. DO YOU MEAN LIKE SOMEONE CAKING ON THEIR FOUNDATION LIKE A MASK AND LOOKING LIKE A CLOWN WITH BLUSH AND STUFF OR JUST GOING ALL OUT WITH EVERY MAKEUP ESSENTIAL?
SOME PEOPLE WANT TO BRING OUT THEIR BEST FEATURES. IF SOMEONE DOESNT LIKE THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN THEN THEY USUALLY WEAR A SHADE LIGHTER OR DARKER FOUNDATION. IF THEIR CHEEKS ARENT ROSY ENOUGH NATURALLY THEY WANT TO CREATE THAT FLUSHED LOOK PREFERABLY WITH CREAM BLUSH. LIPLINER IS USED TO DEFINE THE LIPS BUT NOT TOO MUCH OR TOO DARK. MASCARA IS USED TO BRING OUT THE COLOR OF THE EYES ESPECIALLY WITH EYE CONTOURING EYESHADOW. IF DONE RIGHT , THE WHOLE EFFECT CAN BE BEAUTIFUL.
WITH THE RIGHT ARTIST, MAKEUP AND TECHNIQUE YOU CAN LOOK NATURALLY ENHANCED WITH MAKEUP.

Who cares if someone wears to much makeup. Its their choice how they wear it and how much they wear. Some people wear it to feel better about themselves, some wear it because they may have scars or acne that they'd like to conceal. Whether or not it looks good its their face and they can do whatever they want to it.

Simple, this is a very material-listic and fake world we are living in. Some people are just obsessed with their beauty. Or supposedly they have way too much to cover such as wrinkles, acne, flaws, etc.

there can be many reasons for one putting on to much make-up. they could be hiding a scar you don't know about or trying to bring out a feature. it's their choice. i like natural looking makeup with soft colors.

it is disgusting if you pound it on to look like a skank but all i put on is mascara, a little eye shadow and some lip gloss.

They want everyone to look at them, they think they are so pretty with make up on, they look really fake.
