It could be a few different things.
Exhaustion, nutritional deficiency, or even Mono. Not saying you have it, you should get a blood test done if you notice more symptoms, but one time when I was extra sleeping I didn't know why...turns out I had Mono.
Try starting with some multi-vitamins, if you don't already take any, and see if it clears up. Also, if a person is a bit sedentary this can make them more sleepy, even though they're not doing anything physical.

Over sleeping makes you sleepier. Sleep just 8 hours. If you have naps, just sleep only 'til 30 mins. That's what I heard.

sounds like it could either be depression or maybe narcolepsey, so see your doctor and be specific to his questions. Be honest in your answers as that is the only way he can diagnose your problem and help you. Good luck and don't wait any longer than you have already.

There is much less daylight this time of year. Now, due to daylight "losings", it is dark around 5:00. That makes your body think it's later than it is. I think everyone feels that way right now.

If you think you are pregnant, take a test.
It is also possible that you are having issues with your personal life (stress, etc) that is causing you to sleep instead of face the issue.

It sounds perfectly normal for the first trimester of pregnancy. You need the rest because your body is making preparations for the little one.
