I cannot believe people answered football(soccer) has timeouts...no it doesnt. it has half time...if someone gets injured or play is held up...time is added to the end of the half by the referee...called added time etc...so the game does not stop with timeouts at all...players try to waste time to get their breath...slow play for tactical advantage, and thats the only time it will stop...

- hope this helps.

there are no timeouts!!!!!!! Ok anyone who says any different is an idiot. I have watched countless matches, and i play on a 1st division team which is top 5 in the state, and there are no timeouts, just half time, but the coach can't call a half time, it just automatically happens when the designated time is up. So no timeouts!!!

Soccer is designed to be a player's game. managers have little influence during and actual match. That is why it is called the beautiful game. Soccer flows and changes as the match goes on and is about the players adapting both physically and mentally without outside interference. Thus....No time outs during actual play!

YES it has!!!
there are timeouts in the match but they are not official.when players are tired, they pretend that they are injured and it is time to rest and advises of the managers. I name it an unofficial timeout!
