in mary shelley'sbook frankenstein the monster of frankenstein isnt telling the story. another man is telling it in letters to his sister. the man is speaking to the professor who created the monster (doctor frankenstein) is writing the doctor's story in letters to his sister. the man is just a character who is trying to finish a journey on his boat.
