You should take a course of action. J/K!

You should start out taking the basics - I was a music major so I really don't know the fields in the science area. I was lucky to pass Astronomy!

Good luck!

The first thing to do is to ask yourself what you like to do. Make a list of all the things you like to do. Make a list of what you don't like to do. Think about what you might like to do with your life, what type of career that you would like. See a guidance counselor at your school and ask them what they know about different professions that fit the list of things that you like to do.

Now they will have some test that they can give you to get an idea of what you might like to do. However, you don't want to take the results too seriously. Mine said I should be a farmer or a fine artist. The last thing I would want to be would be a farmer. The test shows that because I like gardening as a hobby. And a fine artist requires more talent than I have and I would never make enough money to live doing that. So you see that is only one of many ways to explore your options. So explore options and talk to people who do the work you think you might like.

Also most people change their major at least once before they graduate.

Have you started taking your basic courses yet, such as English and math skills? Stay in the "now" and take the core courses you are required to take your first year. Let next year take care of itself. You will be amazed that once you start taking the core courses, something will trigger your imagination, and you will discover the path you are to take. Until then, enjoy "now" right now, concentrate on the courses you are required to take, and schedule something fun as an elective. What the hell, theres always gym classes or music classes, even art appreciation.

Try Music History or a survey of humaities (renaisance to baroque). If you like writing papers more tham doing math I would go more in that direction.

What comes easy to you? Why not take nursing?
Make an appointment to speak with a college counselor; they will be able to help you.
