BTW I feel the same about Mcguire , Sosa and Palmiero among others - Try to imagine yourself working all your life to get where you are and then someone else just injects themselves with an illegal substance and surpasses you ..it's a joke that they get away with it.

I would not want Bonds on my team due to the steroid questions that surround him.

I would not want Bonds on my team due to his attitude.

I would not want Bonds on my team due to his age.

I would not want Bonds on my team due to his recent performances.

I would not want Bonds on my team due to his salary demands.

*Kurt C - Bonds did cheat, he basically has admitted that the substances he thought were harmless, were probably the 'cream' and 'clear' i.e. steroids.
The question is whether he knowingly used them, which he says he would never do. And honestly for signing Bonds, it makes no difference, it is a distraction the team can do without.*

All you are saying are opinions, which means that there is no proof that any of these players (Bonds, Mcguire, Sosa) has done drugs. If thats the case then the 46 year old Roger Clemens throwing 90 mph fastballs should be in the discussion. I would pick bonds up in the AL as a DH he can still bring in runs and put some fans in the seats.

I challenge your assertions.

First of all, it has never been proven that any of the players you listed, except of Palmiero, ever used any performance enhancing substance.

Second of all, in the case of McGuire, even if he did, at the time he would have it wasn't cheating because, not only did baseball not have any method of determing if a player was using them, baseball didn't have any rules prohibiting their use.

For that reason, in my opinion, any player who did not use steriods up until about 2003 (not sure of exact date) that didn't use steriods sold his team short. In my book those players are no different than the ones didn't spend enough time taking batting practice or have a decent off-season work out regiment or ignored signs from the manager.

So with all of that in mind, assuming Bonds could pass the urine tests this coming season, and contribute offensively, as long as he wasn't overpaid, I'd love to see him in my team's uniform.

I have to agree with you Shawn, steroid use definitely went on that is no question, and it was legal so how can it be called cheating?? I can never understand the Bonds critics, someone please explain to me how he cheated, it was OK with MLB and all of the big stars were using it with MLB's consent. so how is it cheating?
The home run record is something i would love to see him break just so i can say i was alive when it happen. Because like it or not, steroid use or not that is still a lot of home runs to hit. and the fact that he is still hitting home runs when he is "clean" by the new standards i think speaks volumes.
oh yeah by the way Kurt is retarded, must we tie everything to race, give me a break, that is almost as bad as Micheal Jackson playing the race card. it is ridiculous

This is the second time I've seen Kurt comment about someone being a racist hater just because they ask a cheating question about Barry Bonds. Kurt, explain exactly how these people are racist? If racist now means "acknowledging cheaters" then sure they are, bit I don't think that's what it means...

NEVER!! Bonds is responsible for low morale wherever he plays. He is NOT a team player. Like Roger Clemens, his main concern is himself!! NOT his colleagues, and CERTAINLY not the fans.

Chow!!

i'd have him on my team. i think players should be allowed to do whatever it takes to make themselves better at the sport they are in. it starts young btw. look in the trash can at any youth baseball or football game and see all the empty cans of red bull.

I say he should retire before he hits the home-run record. It's going to be a joke that he surpasses it anyway!

When I was 8. Barry was really rude to me at a Pirates game. He is so stuck up and arrogant that I hope no one signs him this year.
