In the Senate each state get's two representatives regardless of population, In the House it is decided by population with each state getting representatives according to its population, with each state receiving at least one, Large population states are underrepresented in the senate, while the house is equal according to population.

They are supposed to represent US...the normal, hardworking, taxpaying, regular people. They really seem to represent themselves and the rich. The only spend on average one day a week in session (see this months Readers Digest) and the rest of the time all they do is raise money for the next election.

It's sad really to think we fought against the English to form our own government and they are doing it better than we are!!! At least is seems so from this side of the Atlantic...

congress represents their political contributors. they don't represent any voters. they work with lobbiests and lawyers for corporations, but ignor the people unless threatened with not being voted for at the next election. they do for the lobbyists and corporations, but they tell the people what they want them to hear, and do what the contributors want.
