Ok, this may be a long question. I'm 32. I got my tubes tied in November of last year, right after baby number 4. My periods have always been 5 days long, since the first time I got it, and it's always been 30 days apart. Now, it's 3 days long, and 32 days apart. Is there a connection, or am I paranoid? Is it possible that I could hit menopause early because of the tubal (not that I'd be complaining!)? I asked my doctor, who is a moron and will be replaced, but he said he'd "look into it" and never got back to me with an answer.

By the way, I must say that getting any period at all is completely pointless when you've been fixed!

I had my tubes tied to and well my periods actually have gotten longer :( *waaa* lol . But no it won't make you hit menopause early my mother had hers done years ago she is almost 50 now and she still hasn't been through menopause yet. I agree with periods bieng pointless. Ah well what can ya do.

you are lucky before i got my tubes tied i had a period every 28 days and 5 days since my tubes were tied my period is all over the place sometimes twice in one month and lasting a week i think what you are going through is completely normal and that the uterus is not having alot of lining which is causing you to have a shorter period

At 32, you could be entering premenopause - and it's not early, it's right on time. Changing cycles are a symptom. (The average age is 35.)

It's not likely that your tubal is the reason.

Having a baby can change your cycle more than having your tubes tied would. It's possible that your cycle changed since having the baby.
