Do people honestly think the majority of liberals or conservatives are against US policies simply because they unpatriotic?

I sincerely believe that almost everyone wants America to be a country and thats why they choose to speak their mind about issues. Thus, it drives me to fury when I see posts that say, "libs hate our troops" or "Conservatives just want everyone to believe in Christianity."

How about a little more constructive criticism and a little less name calling?!?!

(yes, this question itself is lack of constructive critcisM, Im an exception to my own criticism)

Please define what you mean by unpatriotic. Patriotism means the right to question authoritty and has been held as precious since the beginning of this country. The Constitution protects the right to complain about anybody anywhere as long as no bodily harm is being done. Political parties are subject to complaint because as a public entity, libel and slander is not applied.

What's wrong (and scary) is when a ruling party is so desperate, that they smear every other entity. Particularly when they are dismantling the US Constitution bit by bit.

What's bad here is that the Ruling Party is maliciously deleting Question and Answers, and is infiltrating people's personal pages and "Hiding" questions so they can't be chosen as best answer.

These disgusting practices are supported by Yahoo Personnel, who foster violation of constitutional rights by deleting Questions and Answers which do not violate any of the board's community rules, but which do challenge the wrongful policies of the Republican Party.

As a publicly held entity, the internet is still ruled by the Right to Freedom of Speech.

The Republican party has operatives here which name call, bully and set up destructive arguments which lack redemption, the same way they have ruled this nation and have ground down the rest of the world.

Pity America if they are allowed to steal the election again and get back into office.

This all started in the late 1960's, with the Republicans going after President Johnson and his Vietnam policies. Then the Democrats got them back by forcing Nixon to resign over his corrupt administration. Then the Republicans got back at Carter with his fiasco in Iran. Then the Democrats got back at the Republicans from Bush Senior's mis-handling of the economy. Then the Republicans got back at the Democrats for WRONGFUL use of cigars in the White House. It is like watching a Kindergarten class, like when I used to watch my son during visitor's day. Children bickering over nothing of importance. We have become SO polarized, due to party affiliation, whether right or wrong. No wonder the rest of the world is laughing at us, and CANNOT trust us anymore. It's time for the next Generation of Americans to grow up, face the realities of the present World, and deal with them in a mature, educated manner. If not, we will become a third world country, and China, Europe, and Russia will kick our ***, economically, politically, and militarily. Then everyone from this country can migrate back to their origins, ending all the immigration problems here.

If we really wish to continue to be such a strong nation, we must honor the principles that made us that way, such as encouraging the contributions of as many different people as possible. As we made it possible for people from all over the world to come here and contribute their energy to this country, we grew stronger. If we abandon our past greatness of tremendous variety in people and views, we will become narrow in our thoughts and expressions of creativity. We need to have the courage to trust that all of us have something important to contribute to the conversation. Then, when the discussion is over we will have a better chance that our actions come from wisdom. We face a challenging future, and we have handled it best when we have had a better and broader perspective than the rest of the world. We need to listen to each other, no matter how challenging that can be, because it is possible that the one who disagrees with you might know what he is talking about.

Because some political views are indeed unpatriotic whether or not the adherent knows it or not.
Such as support for an Illegal war.
