No answer here is 100% for everyone. I can say lots of things changed for me but I'm still sure of his love, he treats me with respect and we make a great team. Sure I miss the dating days, the "I must have you NOW" sex, the little surprises, etc. but they've been traded in for a man that can be counted on to be there no matter what happens, the joy in watching him with our kids and the strength of our marriage. I appreciate him for what he is and what he does do. When he does bring me home flowers, whips up a batch of brownies without being asked or rubs my feet after a long day it makes up for a lot!

This is something my grandma told me, didn't think it was true but guess it is.
Women marry hoping to change their husband and Men marry hoping that their wife never changes.
He used to get me things when he bought himself things even if it was little just to let me know he thought of me, now he hides the things he buys himself and he gets himself alot of things. It is not like a materialstic, a bottle of propel water would make me ecstatic. Considering I am not working because of an arm injury and yet his mother is living here and I make dinner and do her laundry and drive her places and take care of him the kids and our dog. He stopped appreciating me . Maybe its my fault, I don't know.

kissing me on the back of the neck for no reason, complimenting me on a meal, holding my hand in public, the list goes on and on, but what he's started doing is fixing my car if it needs it, giving me a little extra cash when my pay isn't enough, helping me decorate the house though he hates doing that, putting the toilet seat down, and just recently he paid for a hearing aid for me that i couldn't afford. so yep it all balances out. Now i kiss him if i want one in return, i grab his hand if i want to hold it, and i ask him how supper was if i want to know.

Everything.
My ex-husband was prince charming while we dated. The day the honeymoon was over he couldn't care less what I did. He alienated himself.
