The President cannot ask for the Vice President's resignation - Cheney was elected and does NOT serve "at the pleasure of the President."

Having said that, I don't think that Cheney would resign, no matter what happens over the next two years.

However, IF the Democrats win Congress next week; Iraq gets worse or stays the same; the economy starts to slide (and the Dems can successfully pin it on Iraq); and Bush's approvals numbers get even lower; THEN the Republicans are looking to be slaughtered in 2008 and Rummy (along with 1 or 2 others) will have to go as political sacrificial lambs.

Not that I would cry about him.

Many conservative loyalists have a tendency to cherry-%. stats and evidence that favors their slant even as ignoring something else that would want to in all likelihood run opposite to their view. in spite of the indisputable fact that, it really is going to be said that impeaching Bush and Cheney this overdue contained in the 2d time period is somewhat unnecessary. also, notwithstanding if there have been adequate evidence of a criminal offense, there are not adequate votes contained in the Senate to actual convict. Political bias is a wide component in determining the end result, in basic terms because it became the ultimate time round (Clinton).

Keep Cheney, because he will ensure a Democratic victory in '08.

Get rid of Rummy because he's killing our sons and daughters by the hundreds, and innocent Iraqis by the thousands.

republicans are against bush cuz they want to be re-elected so they can give bush whatever he wqants without asking any questions. the dems want bush and company exposed for what they've done. hard questions will show bush and company for the fools they are, and how they have abused power while the republicans just stuck their heads in the sand so they wouldn't see anything but what bush wanted them to see.

When the Legislative Branch's s**t no longer stinks, then The Executive Branch might give a rats a** to what they think.

What do they teach in school, besides Bobby has two mommies?

I think that Bush will be sent to jail for war crimes againist american
citizens on US soil. Torture is a very serious offense, especially when used on US citizens on US soil.
