Have to disagree with "know everything", as there are many different reasons for split personality disorder, and abuse is only one of those.
I have to ask, is it that you're seeing two (or more) fairly distinct or contrasting personality types; or simply that he/she is not cut from the stereotypical cloth. I know myself I spent most of teen years wondering if I was a gay in denial as I have never been the "blokiest" of blokes - took a long time to realise than not all guys are into sports beer and cars and to stop worrying about the stereotypes that we often get plastered with. I still pick/buy most of my fiancée's clothes for her (now THAT gets some looks I tell you, lol)

My very best, dearest friend in high school ended up having a full sex-change.
Love her to this day. A truly rare, special, gifted person. True courage. So many lessons learned... Started me on the road to Who cares what others think? :-))
The physical body does not always reflect the true person within....
Life (The Great ALL) has a place for EACH of us. Not complete without EVERY one.
Damn, I owe the people I have loved SO MUCH!
We are all somewhere on the spectrum. The most interesting people have the widest range, if you know what I mean...

A "split personality" is really a very serious psychological disorder where a part of the person's identity is dissociated from the rest of their identity. It's more possible instead the person could be bisexual or more feminine or masculine than most people of their sex. The chances they have a split personality are pretty low.

many times. you will possibly be surrounded by skill of folk who're there with you bodily, in spite of the undeniable fact that it relatively is all with regard to the way you your self sense interior, and loneliness can nonetheless be felt, even while in corporation. I frequently sense this way, as I suffered from melancholy and stress for some years, and no remember how many people have been with me - family members, friends - I nonetheless felt miserably lonely and remoted from all and sundry and each little thing, because it relatively is no longer hassle-free for others to truly 'get' somebody with melancholy and different psychological wellness subject concerns. once you sense relatively lonely and on my own interior, it is not proper who's next to you, what they say to you.....it relatively is basically the way you sense. I additionally sense lonely with my problems too, and the concerns I relatively have approximately my life many times, like i'm thoroughly on my own with them, yet then i think of that's no longer completely unusual. many people sense that way now and lower back. desire you're ok nonetheless. :)

Split personality is usually do to a horrible abuse in ones life, and the relation of this other personality is for this abused to help them deal with it....someone to talk to/be protected by, etc.. But If I could do it, I'd have Alyssa Milanno as mine, but we would be mutually nice to each other, and supportive, of course.
