both of Will Ferrell's everyman saga movies are hilarious (Anchorman and Talledega Nights). Mystery Science Theater 3000: the movie is funny, the Austin Powers movies are a good one if you like stupid funny. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (but only when you're drunk and/or sleep deprived) will have you quoting that crazy British nonsense for the rest of your life. And shame on the person who gave a thumbs down to Shaun of the Dead, it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!

I recently saw Little Miss Sunshine and absolutely loved it. One of the best I've seen in a good while. If you are looking to rent, try Old School or an obscure movie called Sordid Lives.

Any of the Muppet movies, if you think you've out grown them watch them again because there is a lot of veiled humor in there.
HOODWINKED was so funny I had to cover my mouth so others could hear what was going on in the theater.
many of the other submissions were great too, I love SHAUN OF THE DEAD too.
