When I heard the news last night I darned near cried! It was as if he died. I know I'll be happy for him when I get over my self pity. He's been on the air for 50 years! I can't imagine watching The Price is Right without him. When Johnny Carson retired I never watched the Tonight Show again.

He's a happy, healthy man, and I hope he enjoys a happy, healthy life ahead of him.

No - it won't be the same.
My sister and I went to California to try to get on his show, we ended up sitting in the audience.
It was so cool! Bob is a real pro, the audience got him to say the line from Happy Gilmore, you know the one where he says "The Price is Wrong B!# It was great, I'm gonna miss him!

Poor guy wasted 30+ years of his life doing it. He completely deserves his retirement. He was great, but now there are plenty of new shows to take it's place. as for having a different host for the show, NO. I think it should be taken off the air and we should just have the wonderful memory of it to keep. He was a great host and I think it's about time the poor guy got to rest. I wouldn't have lasted with hosting ANYTHING that long! Ha ha ha, my hat off to him. ;-)

Yeah, it won't be, but it's not like Bob's immortal or anything (even though he seems like he is). He's 83 years old and STILL on tv. That's one hell of an accomplishment.

It is sad remember him and Truth and Consequences, but don't get to chocked up about it; also thought he would hang in there till someone said put him DOWN 6 feet.
