Chocolate. My son's smile. Reading/watching Shakespeare. The sky on a clear day. Making lists. Buying bins. Sex.

Not in that order.

OK, sometimes in that order.

Nothing. I just choose to be happy and live in now. My happiness is not based on rules like most people's. Like some people have rule that will be happy only if they achieve a certain goal or if they hear something funny. They don't seem to realize that happiness is just an emotion which one needs to feel by smiling rather than an object which one needs to achieve.

Ask a puppy playing with a rubber ball this question, and although you won't receive a verbal response, it's seems obvious they're in a state of utter delight. Being reflective beings, though, we have the power to probe this question until we're blue in the face. "What makes you happy? Why? How? Under what circumstances? How's that?" ...and on and on; it's like facing two mirror together. So, to answer your question, "What makes us happy?" the answer is deceivingly simple: Happiness!

I have no idea.

I really, honest-to-God, don't think i have ever felt 'happiness'.

Some days are just better than others.

I do like the rain though. And reading and writing and asking philosophical questions and doing math problems for hours on end and smoking and running... And i almost forgot, coffee.And i like spending time with my family when we're actually getting along and laughing and having a good time and it's not forced enjoyment. I also like clean clothes and having a clean room. And getting into bed when i'm tired. And God. I think i'm more happy with my nose on the ground praying than anywhere else in this world.

The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
they just make the most of
everything that comes along their way.

So be happy with what you have rather than not happy with what you dont have.

Contended life is a happy life.

Being happy is a choice. As hard as that is to believe. It's a mindset. Circumstances will always be up and down we have to choose to stay level.

I am happy when I'm running, because even though the first few steps are the hardest, when you find your pace it feels so good to go faster and just totally zone out and just run. And I'm happy when I read, which is pretty much....hmm...whenever I'm not running. And listening to music and sitting in front of a fire and eating my mom's tacos. And talking to my favorite people. Thanks for letting me talk myself ou! =D
