I am like yeast infection prone. Usually you will get an increase in discharge and you might feel a little raw down there. Then the discharge will get really thick and sorta look like cottage cheese. Yeah I know its gross! It will itch soooo bad that you just wanna take a brush down there and go at it. I wouldnt recomend doing that though. There are many reasons woman get yeast infections. Some antibiotics can cause them. You can also get them from too much sex and not rinsing soap off very well. The best thing you can do is go to the drug store and get Monistat one day. Its more expensive than the 7 or 3 day one but it will clear it up a lot faster. Also, for the itching you could use Vagisil. Personally, I am allergic to it but it is suppose to help with the itch. If it feels like it burns when you put it on dont use it. Keep everything clean and dont itch because it will cause infection to get worse and you can cause a skin infection as well. If all of this doesnt work for you, you can call your dr and he will perscribe you a nasty tasting pill. I hope I could help.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Yeast infections don't smell bad. But they itch like crazy. You need to see the doctor. It could just be BV. But since you just started having sex with your boyfriend last week you need to be checked for an std. He could be an asymptomatic carrier of an std. Make an appointment right away to be checked. Some stds can cause fertility issues if they aren't treated quickly.

-feels like an intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva. This itching is not always present, but can get really bad, so bad you can hardly walk, let alone ride your bike to the pharmacy or doctor to get it treated.
-looks like clumpy nasty white stuff. Most medical descriptions compare the discharge to ricotta cheese, but it can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear.
A lot of these symptoms can also be used for bacterial infections, urinary tract infections, or trichomoniasis [sexually transmitted]. It's also a lot better to check with a doctor for full results.

lots of itchy feeling, cottage cheese like whitish discharge, and sometimes a yeasty odor like bread or beer smell, but mostly itch... if you have never had one before (which it sounds like you have not) you should see a doctor, because bacterial vaginoses is similar and often mistaken for yeast. the two infections have different causes (yeast and bacteria) and need different treatments. so see a doctor.
