I think Kerry was an idiot for what he said, but this is strictly from a "grounds for apology" point of view...do you think the troops deserved it...did they get it?
George Bush jokes about looking for WMD:

Oh no he was "just kidding" and besides it's hilarious that our troops are dying over WMDs that were never there isn't it? Oh but wait that was just a mistake right? Lets not let any silly facts get in the way, be a good, patriotic American and never question our leaders. Sit back, clear your mind and just laugh when they tell you to and always obey the masters.
Bush........what a funny guy

It is a good point that you make and might I add, infighting has hurt the troops more than any comment. The fact that the Republicans believe it should be done only one way and the Democrats are acting like T.O. doesn't help our chances.
If you go to war, you better be prepared to make it work. This isn't some backyard game, you don't just quit and go home when you make a decision to go to war.
All political parties and the public should be ashamed of themselves. This isn't what our soldiers need right now, they need a country that supports them. We need to give them what they need to execute and make their mission successful.
Team work - we forget the concept at the highest level. - brilliant.

This is hilarious, but the real laugh was watching Fox News today...I flipped over every few minutes, and it was all-Kerry, all the time. They were pretending to be discussing whether Kerry's line would affect the election. But it was clear all they really wanted to do was to MAKE it effect the election. They talked about it ad naseum for 2 hours. It's desperation time for the GOP, apparently.

Recruitment courses have long used progressed training and container training using fact the carrot to hold in front of youthful men and females persons in attempt to get them to sign up. "be all you are able to" type commercials are run continuously even now while many that would sign in understand that they could be deployed after preliminary training. The aviation assure replaced right into a application that attracted many youthful persons by way of the sixty’s and seventy’s. i like the commercial the place the new child tells his father he has found a thank you to get the educational he needs, the daddy say's what style of coaching is it? The son says the army, the daddy in basic terms struck gold using fact he won't ought to foot the college instructions. there replaced right into a time while judges might supply youthful offenders a decision "penal complex or the service" lots of the Vietnam era squaddies have been from underclass kinfolk’s and had minimum training, it is in basic terms the way it replaced into, lots of the extra youthful men and females persons of this era in basic terms did no longer have the choose or the funds to proceed right into a college training and felt it replaced into optionally available on the time. immediately maximum youthful persons have a minimum of a severe college training and doubtless a year or 2 of community college in spite of the indisputable fact that, many have been attracted to the reserves for opportunities of persisted training and reward that the job marketplace in civilian existence replaced into no longer offering. lots of the older reservists have been training a pension besides to their civilian job retirement plans. those persons have been in all probability nicely knowledgeable and had executed officer status. it incredibly is the present make up of the forces deployed at present. i think of that in case you seem on the grunt infantry squaddies what you assert isn't that some distance off base even at present. they are nevertheless honorable and courageous squaddies all and sundry. Kerrys comments i've got faith have been in direction of the politicians.
