how do you use a davis anemometer. Not the high speed.?

I did a google and there are different models, so I'm not sure which one you need info about. But, the photo of the model at the site below looks pretty simple--as if you merely hold it in the path of the airflow, and read the speed of the wind. It says the model is intended for students.
