Was Kerry telling jokes to the Congressional Committee in 1967?

Kerry's distain for the US military is a matter of public record - he is an intellegent man, and he knew what he said. He could have easily corrected his "mistake" on the spot......
Only after the back lash started did he start spinning his excuses.

Bush's lies killed thousands.

They should put him on trial and impeach him from office.

What lies has Bush told? And Kerry didn't just botch a joke. He called soldiers stupid. I'd say this is a lie

But Bush tells the kind of lies that make any sane person laugh until they wet their pants. So, that's kind of like a lie *and* a bad joke.

Well, Kerry lied when he said it was a joke.
Just when he realized it was going to backfire on him,
Whammmm!!!!! he spins the whole story.
And if it really was a joke, how SICK is that ?????
