I know it looks easy but my math teacher says we have to do it a special way, cut my some slack I am only 12 and yes this is supposed to be advanced. So here is how I have to do the problem.

x-6=-25
x-6+6=-25+6
x=

x - 6 = -25
x - 6 + 6 = -25 +6
x = -19

That's not a special way, your teacher just wants to show you how you're solving it. First you add 6 to each side, which your teacher has already done. This gives x - 6 + 6 = -25 + 6. Now solve the "mini-equations" (my term) on each side of the equation: x = -19. That's the usual way to solve an equation like this except that the adding 6 to each side step is usually implied rather than stated outright.
