I have a 1994 Ford Explorer. It has a 4.0L engine.I need to know the name of a part.I will try to explain it as simple as possible. It is connected to the 2 hoses that come out of the firewall on the passenger side. And then there are 2 hoses that connect to it from the other side of it.One of them goes to the water pump.I cannot see exactly where the other one leads. It has some sort of regulator? or something on it that has a wire leading from it.I know it almost has to have something to do with the heater and A/C.The part I am talking about seems to actually be 2 parts.I need to replace it as it has a leak in it.I can see the leak. It's tubuler in shape and about the size of a quarter in width. And maybe 4 or 5 inches long.

It is the hot water or heater valve, it shuts off coolant flow to the heater core when you turn on the A/C, to make the A/C more efficient.

It is the heater control valve. They are notorious for leaking. Go to the Ford dealer to purchase the part. It is not expensvie, and I can almost guarantee that they would have it in stock.
