I don't have the number but I do know that children and parents work out a system for themselves in case of separation. I work in a theme park and I get children all the time who have lost their parents. Heck, I've even gotten lost parents! Children are good at finding people in the parks who have name tags or look like someone in charge. I've told my child time and again to look for the uniforms or name tags. Kids are more resilient than their parents. Kids know to wait in the same area (most of the time) so their loved ones can back track. It's all in the preparedness of the families.

From having to work at a theme park, I've been told that almost 100 children are lost daily but found the same day. Most are.
