Sure it's sad on several levels. They not only killed off an important character but the producers continue to insult the viewers intelligence by bringing out two MEANINGLESS characters (Nikki & Paulo) who contribute nothing to the story nor do they help solve any of the several mysteries. Perhaps the show needs that long hiatus because Season 3 has been a huge letdown.

I think they could have gone a lot farther with his character. He was one of my favorites. It was his time, I can understand that. But I'm amazed that they would kill him off now; with Michael out of show, Eko was the only African-American main character. Now there's only Rose, and she hardly counts as a main character as far as I'm concerned.

It was his time. He made peace within himself and his brother and he rebuilt his brother's church. It is time. But what worries me most is Locke said he saw a bright light and Mr Ekko saw the black smoke. Uh oh.....you know what that means. It's not fair. He did kill the old man in order to save his brother's life from the warlords.

Rest in Peace, Brother. See You on the Other Side

Not sad, just disappointed, I think there were a lot of things to explore with him as far as faith and such. Him and Locke were good together.

They should have kept him on a bit longer, but he'll probably show up on more shows as a ghost or a flashback.
