hit on >start>control panel>add remove >check mark on da top of >add remove >show up dates<< then look for (IE7 ) hit on that then hit remove . (IE7) will uninstall and your system will re-run (IE6) no need to download (IE6) again . then go back to the website redownload (IE7) and install it

Try re-installing IE7 again...This time Disconnect from the Internet & disable all your Security software...Sometimes they will prevent programing from installing correctly!
Then reboot, and install any updates it might require.
