Not particularly.

The spouses of industrial managers, school teachers, military officers, and ministers are considered in the "equation", so why shouldn't the spouse of a Presidential candidate and every other candidate for any significant public office be considered as well?

Teresa Heinz Kerry's ideas (and they aren't all nice) should definitely be taken into account before voting to elect or retain John Kerry in office. Unfortunately, he's already a Senator, but hopefully BOTH parties know better than to ever allow him into the presidency.

No. First - I think John Kerry has managed to get in his own way one too many times to seriously be put on the ticket again. Second - I don't think I've ever considered their wives in the equation for President. Maybe I've overlooked something.
