If you want twins.......take prenatal vitiamins and talk to your doctor....

twins are a lot more common today because of the advancements in medical science and the increased use in proconceptive aids

Sweetie, It does not matter if they run in the family or not. I have nine month old fraternal girls, and there are no other twins in my family at all (and I have a huge family)!!! Identical twins do not run in families, everyone has an equal chance to get them. If all of those twins are fraternals, though, you had better start stocking up on Huggies!! But be careful what you wish for! Every time I walk out the door, someone says to me.... "Twins are so great!" and "You are so lucky!", but it has occurred to me that none of THOSE people have to change a gozillion poopy diapers!!! LOL Good luck!

I just answered this same question. I am a mom of twins, so consider this, how would your husband force your egg to split into two embryos or make you drop two eggs? He can pass the gene on to your female baby, but not make you have twins. The reason we are seeing so many more multiple births is due to fertility treatments and more women are waiting later in life to have children. From 35-40 your chances of having twins or triplets is one in four. Your body is depleting it's egg supply to prepare for menopause. I researched it, as my twins were born when I was 37.

you are more likely to have twins if twins run in the mothers family. i'm pregnant with twins and both my boyfriend and I have twins in our families but from everything i've read it's the mother that determines if there are gonna be twins.

Your chances of having twins are definately greater than someone who doesn't have twins running in their family.

Try to avoid twin. It is really not good for you. My girl friend had also two boy at once time and she have to work very hard with them. she cant go to work during have to spend alot for them and keeper. She always complain with me that she didnot know that her husband's side have 4 twins also.
