Thers nothing funny about it from my perspecive... a wheelchair since 1967. I was in the battle of An Loc where was he?

As a paralyzed Vietnam Vet I will never forget John Kerry's traitorous remarks made years ago calling myself and my Brothers-in Arms all manner of names from "Baby-Killers" to "cowards" upon our return and now, our brave brothers and sisters are "stupid"?

I want to state that, 'Mr. John Kerry is not only a man of questionable honor but he should apologize for making statements that not only insult every brave young man and woman Serving but give yet again, "Aid and Comfort to the enemy" which emboldens them and gets more troops killed!

We will now do everything humanly possible to mobilize the Conservative Base not necessarily to Vote to support current policy and Incumbents but to vote "against the Democrats" and the Nancy Pelosi San Francisco Values that party holds to!

This was the best thing he could have done to energize our base!

What say you?

If the American electorate is stupid enough to cast votes based on what John Kerry said rather than the dismal performance of the Republican Administration (in both Congress and the White House, mind you) then they deserve another term of awful government.

I head Kerry's remark earlier on KWY 1060 am and was amazed at all the hype given to the statement. His statement was to stay in college. You can either work hard in school or "get stuck in Iraq."

From personal experience, the men and women I know, who have joined the services, have all joined because they felt as though their life was heading no where. They were either not cut out for college or just burnt out from high school. Many actually tell me they felt as though they were brain washed at the young age of 18 to join. And while in it is nothing but brainwashing.

So really who are the men and women joining the services? Those who don't make it in college? Are they the people who go to Iraq? I think so. I am in college and doing well, and I am not in Iraq.

So really his statement may have made troops upset, but I think it was looked into too closely. He did not say you were "stupid" to leave college and end up in Iraq. I think he meant work hard find a career, start your own company in the United States, graduate college. Something productive, not fighting Bush's battle.

I think we need to worry about North Korea, not Iraq. We know Iraq don't have the weapons to destroy the entire world in the blink of an eye, like other nations!

It was no joke. The Dems can't even get it straight what he meant to say.

Actually, what he said is what he is really thinking. He truly believes that the people in the military are too stupid to make it as civilians.

Kerry is a buffoon and he almost became the president. Let's all go out to vote next week and make sure that the Democrats are not allowed to control the military.

I honer you for serving your country, for the sacrifice you have made, like many thousands of other men and women' but some one can still be against a stupid war brought on by power hungry greedy politicians .As far as kerry goes , he is just about as intelligent as the leaders that we have in the white house, which dose not say much, take it for what it is, a stupid statement it dose not have to be labeled anything else.

I think if you'll stop and breathe for a second, you'll note that it's not that the remark was a joke, it was that it was part of a "botched joke," one that he told badly and was misinterpreted.

For what reason would he want to say something so inflammatory right before an election? And by the way, he has apologized.

What I cannot believe is that this is what Conservatives are hitching their hopes of distracting the voters from their dismal record of failure and hoping to keep a majority on.

I'm afraid that if he mis-told a joke - I would like to hear what it was supposed to be, wouldn't you?

As it sits, it just isn't funny ...

(My dad served 20 years in - went to Korea & Vietnam - AND college.)
