This is Lost's Fall season finale. They are taking it off for 8 weeks and will be showing a new series called Day Break starring Taye Diggs. From what I've read they want to be able to show the remainder of Lost with out having to air any reruns. It is similar to what Fox does with 24 and American Idol.

I saw it too, and thought it was weird. I heard they are taking Lost off the air for like 8 weeks, so I guess they are saying it's the end of Fall 06 season and will say that it is the Fal/Spring season of 07 when it comes back. Just a guess though.

The FALL season finale. That way they can run a crapload of new episodes, go off air for a month or two, then come back with a crapload of new again. They did it before. Kind of annoying.

I haven't heard about this. I think they're just gonna have a couple weeks of reruns and then go back to showing new episodes again.
