I am sooooo upset about Reese's divorce. Do you think its fair, since they didnt have a prenup, that Reese has to give him half of her money even though HE cheated on HER???

Reese is such a good actress you know, i love her to bits, especially in the movie, just like heaven ! =D
I think he's just eyeing on Reese's money, considering how rich she is after the Oscars and all.
AND he's a sucker to cheat on her.

I know, me too! I was just thinking about the money issue myself. I totally do not think that Ryan should receive half of her money, but per the CA law, she must divide it in half. I wonder if it's possible to claim that he cheated (and prove it of course) so that he can't get her money. That would be awesome!
I doubt that she would ever want to go that route though. If that happens, all of their dirty laundry will be airred out, just like Paul & Heather McCartney, Sara Evans & Craig Schelske, David Hasselhoff & Pamela Bach, etc. and it's definitely not very healthy or good in the public eye. I believe she's a lot better than that, so I think she would rather lose some money, because she can always make more, than to have her fans/public judge her. She doesn't even have to worry about money at all, because she's a great actress and now that she's won an Oscar, she'll make a lot no matter what movie it is.

First, there weren't any proof that Ryan Phillipe cheated on Reese, he had dinner with a co-star that's all and I was heartbroken when they called it quits, they were so great together. I saw it on Inside Edition that their careers collided with each other and she was off making movies while Ryan was at home with the kids. Reese is a bigger star than her hubby and for all of these reasons that they call it quits. If it was proven that he cheated on her and since they didn't have a prenup then its not fair she should give him half her stuff or at all since they didn't have a prenup.

Well they lasted seven years, which in celebrity marriage years is like fifty.
And as for the prenuptuals, there are usually clauses that state if the second party cheats, the first party doesn't owe them squat. I don't know if that's the case for Reese, but it's pretty standard so she might be off the hook. If not, she could probably appeal.

I was sad to hear about it too. Does any hollywood marriage last anymore? I guess not. Divorce is so easy now a days. Very sad!!!

i really like them together. they're such a perfect pair. they look so nice together. but unfortunately they have officially announce their split. :(
