It's pretty easy....they always are. :-) When he hasn't been fed yet that day, my betta will start poking around the corner of the tank, top and bottom, because I alway feed him in the same corner, once a day.

It's best to feed them one or two times a day, depending on who you're talking to. (The fish food companies say twice--sells more food.) More important is that they're not feed more than they can eat in a few minutes and you remove any leftovers.

If they're starving, they become very lethargic.

A fish sucking on the surface of the water indicates that oxygen levels in your fish tank water are low. Stir up the water with a glass or cup every hour or so, or install a tank filter or air stone to circulate the water. Feed your fish once or twice daily, only enough that it can eat completely in about one minute. Overfeeding will pollute the water and create a miserable place for your fish to live. Hope this helps.

You only want to feed him no more then 2 times a day . very small amounts . if your using pellets give him 3 or 4 pellets 2 times a day thats all . they can get very sick and die if you feed them to much . their stomach is no bigger then their eye . i have 36 male betta's . so i hope this helps .

It will usually come to the surface, although from what I've seen they will forage at the bottom as well, as most of the food usually sinks.

When U offer it food ... it eats it.

Feed it 4 times a day ... 6-8 dime size flakes - vary the color.

U might also want to offer it some lettuce and boiled yoke (yellow) egg.

Just feed it on a regular basis, 2x per day, and it will be fine.
