You guys watch out - some of that bizarre quote action is intentional because he does get a little mischievous. My great-grandfather from Tennessee used to do stuff like that and he ran the whole town until he was in his 80's (it was a small town of 1,200 but you get my point).

Some of those politicians take themselves too seriously (Kerry), and look at what THEY say!

Absolutely literally... he doesn't make mistakes--the guy means what he says. Take this for example:

"Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream."

Profound.
But I think this one really gets to the heart of the matter:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Definitely take that one literally.

Also, the question isn't about Kerry, who, by the way served his country with honor. Anyone who thinks that John Kerry doesn't support American troops is clueless.

Like his claim of thinking ways to harm America? I seems we do need to decipher what he meant!

The idiot doesn't even understand what he is saying. The bizarre quotes are his all right, but those statements with any bit of intellect were written by someone else and he is just reading the words. (He reads this of course after a day of practice, after all someone has to teach him how to pronounce the big words.)

Everyone makes mistakes, or slips. The problem is, Bush is under the media microscope because he's the president. I don't think literally is the way to take his mistakes.

Good lord no. We could never take his bizarre quotes literally.

I never heard Bush throw around outrageous and unfounded accusations about our troops. These men and women have given several years of their lives to defend us against barbarians. The very least that the military hating John Kerry can do is button his lip and keep his sarcastic comments to himself.

Deciphering may be pretty hard to do.

Fuuny but it seems that Bush's quotes are taken literally when someone (usually democrat) wants to bash him. Like it or not, thats what I've seen.
