Okay, I have a Dell 600m, and when I keep the power plugged in to my computer, it doesn't stay in. It doesn't fall out either, it's half and half, and it says it's on the battery, not the power outlet. It doesn't stay in. Also, when I push it in, it stays in for like 2 minutes, and then the screen flickers and it comes out...help me please!

Sounds like something is loose on your laptop. Do you know anyone else with a similar laptop and A/C adaptor to try? If another adaptor also gives the same problem, then it's definitely your laptop. But if another connector stays up, try your adaptor on that person's laptop. This will help you figure out whether the adaptor needs to be replaced (or least the head on the adaptor), or the connector on the computer itself needs to be replaced.

Some duck tape will help keep your adaptor in place.

Either the end of the cable is broken, or the plug in your computer is broken. Figure out which it is. If it's a bad cable, get a new charger (eBay is your friend) if it's the plug in the computer, call Dell.

I had the same problem with a 5100. The only solution is to buy a replacement power adapter. Buy the targus AC90u - then you get replacement tips for only $10 the next time this happens.
